  • Assisted direction of the Eclipse Theatre Company's production of The Sweetest Swing in Baseball by playwright Rebecca Gilman.

III. TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Teaching acting courses and conducting workshops on improvisational techniques and theatre games

  • Teaching basic Macintosh design layout including print ads and scanning, photo re-touching and creating art on a computer. Have proficiency in Adobe PhotoShop and Quark Xpress as well as a number of other design softwares and word processing softwares. In conjunction with these skills, have experience in publicity and public relations, designing posters, programs, flyers and radio/newspaper copy and web design.

  • Working as a scene shop assistant. Performed in this capacity for seven years, during which I was a scene painter, carpenter, minor electrician, and did some costume work. Performed restoration work on scenic drops for the Masonic Temple of Little Rock that entailed using antiquated techniques and materials. Designed some sound for theatrical productions. Designed lights for theatrical productions on a minor scale.

  • Working as secretary. Performed in this capacity for the Theatre Department of Henderson State University-Specifically in charge of the theatre office, box office and publicity (handling all ticket sales and producing programs for each production). I worked to keep channels of communication open among the production teams, organize the office and help keep track of budget for the theatre faculty.

  • Working as Production Administrator. Performed in this capacity for Summer Stages Children's Theatre during which I was in charge of maintaining databases, generating some publicity materials, phone management, and other general secretarial duties.

VII. PERSONAL DATA

I am a poet/writer with in excess of 10 poems published in national anthologies as well as 4 recorded for CD collections. I have created art for John McCloskey's Big Spirit album due for release in 2004, as well as contributing 4 poetry recordings to the Highland Clearances album produced by the United Celtic Bards, Inverclyde, Scotland, available now through the Wild Thistle web-site. I am currently working on my third self-published book of poetry-also currently working on a children's story and illustrations with hopes of publication. I am a free-lance artist producing works for commission and currently working in the mediums of pen, charcoal, colored pencil and wax resist.

My personal interests and research are broad in scope. They include reading about and exploring the topics of Celtic history, Scottish History, British History, Egyptology, Physics and Astrophysics including the Unified Theory vs. String Theory, Herbs and Natural Remedies. The list continues ad infinitum-I am interested in nearly anything and everything.
